On the initiative of the late Mr Gustave Christin WERNAERS, the international WERNAERS Fund for research and the diffusion of knowledge was created with the Fonds de la Recherche Scientifique - FNRS.
The WERNAERS Fund supports actions promoting research and the diffusion of scientific knowledge.
This Fund has 3 instruments to attain its objectives
- A Grant for specialisation in Scientific Communication and Popularisation (every 2 years => no grant in 2022) – Regulations (only in FR).
- The Wernaers Prize for Scientific Popularisation - Regulations (only in FR), Form (only in FR).
- Subventions to media that contribute to developing interest in scientific culture - Regulations (only in FR), Form (only in FR).
Fund Advisory Board
The Advisory Board is an advisory body for the selection of all actions to be supported by the Wernaers Fund.
It examines the applications submitted and makes reasoned proposals to the Fund's Management Committee.
