The PDR-Thema Cardiovascular Diseases 2021 call is open

The FNRS opens the call for applications PDR-Thema 2021 which funds research projects in the field of cardiovascular diseases.

• Funding of research projects with a duration of 3 years.


• In the field of cardiovascular diseases in a very broad sense. The FNRS does not impose any additional thematic constraint and the jury will, if necessary, have to decide on the eligibility of a project whose subject seems to deviate from this framework.


• All scientific approaches are eligible: molecular biology, public health, modeling, clinical and preclinical studies, medical engineering, etc.


• The participation of co-sponsors is authorized, including outside the French Community of Belgium (FBC).

Eligible expenses and financial terms

• Maximum 450.000 € per project.


• There are three types of eligible expenses: personnel, operating and equipment.
  Equipment costs are authorized up to 30% of the total budget requested.


• The use of subcontractors is allowed up to 20% of the total budget requested.


• A budget can be requested for institutions outside the WMC up to 20% of the total budget requested. For these institutions, eligible costs are limited to personnel and operating costs.

Applications must be submitted via the e-space platform before Friday, July 2, 2021 at 2:00 pm.
