Main Features

  • The Prize rewards a scientific research achievement in the field of viral infections, in connection with health.
  • Amount: 12.500 € for personal use.
  • The Prize can reward a scientific research performed by a team. In this case, the Prize money will be divided equally between each member of the team.

Eligible Applicants 

  • Candidates must be of at least postdoctoral level.
  • Candidates must be affiliated, at the submission deadline, to a university of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, a university of the Flemish Community, or a Federal or Regional Research Center active in biomedical research.

Call timeline

  • Opening of the call: 4 December 2024
  • Extended deadline of the call: 10 March 2025
  • Panel meeting: May/June 2025

Applications, written in English, must be sent electronically to prix@frs-fnrs.be on 10 March 2025 (midnight Brussels time), at the latest.
