Project duration

The maximum amount of requested funding per project is 300.000 EUR for a total period of three years. If the project involves the recruitment of a PhD student, the project duration of the F.R.S.-FNRS sub-project could be up to four years.

Eligibility rules

All eligibility rules and criteria can be found in the PINT-MULTI regulations. This call is co-funded (See article III.6). Please note that personnel costs (Article III.6) have an annual average cap of 80,000 EUR for this call.

Forms to be submitted

Applicants to F.R.S.-FNRS funding must provide basic administrative data by submitting an administrative application on e-space within 5 working days after the general deadline of the Biodiversa+ call to be eligible. Please select the “PINT-MULTI” funding instrument when creating the administrative application. Proposals invited to the second stage will be able to complete the pre-proposal form and provide information for the full proposal upon validation by the F.R.S.-FNRS.

It is not possible to combine F.R.S.-FNRS  budget with federal budget (BELSPO funding) within the same consortium. In other words, regional and federal budget cannot be concentrated within one and the same project consortium, also when it implies different researchers and institutions. Consortia with both F.R.S.-FNRS and BELSPO funding will thus be declared ineligible. Consequently, it is strongly advised to contact the funding contact points in order not to jeopardize the consortium eligibility

Non-permissible costs

“Overhead” is not an eligible cost. If the project is selected for funding, these costs will be subject to a separate agreement between the institution of the beneficiary and the F.R.S.-FNRS.

All eligibility rules and criteria can be found in the PINT-MULTI regulations. This call is, on F.R.S.-FNRS level, considered as NOT co-funded (See article III.6).

Applicants to F.R.S.-FNRS funding must provide basic administrative data by submitting an administrative application on e-space within 5 working days after the general deadline of the LEAP RE call to be eligible. Please select the “PINT-MULTI” funding instrument when creating the administrative application. Proposals invited to the second stage will be able to complete the pre-proposal form and provide information for the full proposal upon validation by the F.R.S.-FNRS.

“The Berni J. Alder CECAM Prize” est un Prix qui récompense les contributions exceptionnelles dans le domaine de la simulation et de la modélisation de la matière. Ce Prix qui est décerné tous les trois ans, est destiné à honorer un scientifique individuel ; exceptionnellement, il peut être attribué à trois scientifiques au maximum ayant contribué de manière égale au sujet spécifique pour lequel le Prix est décerné.

Il s'agit du Prix européen le plus prestigieux pour les simulations informatiques en physique/chimie de la matière condensée, en physique statistique et en chimie physique.

Ce Prix d’un montant de 5.000 € a été créé en 1999.

Cette année 2022, le Prix “The Berni J. Alder CECAM Prize” a été décerné au Prof. Dr. Kurt Kremer (“Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research“) pour ses contributions exceptionnelles dans le domaine scientifique suivant : “the microscopic simulation of polymers, and, more broadly, soft matter“.

La cérémonie de remise de ce Prix aura lieu au siège du « CECAM » à Lausanne (EPFL) le mercredi 9 novembre 2022.
