BiR&D Awards
- These four Awards are granted on the initiative of the Belgian industrial Research and Development association (BiR&D).
- Reward PhD thesis that present an original contribution with potential industrial valorisation within a 5-year period and cross-disciplinary approach.
- Two Awards will be granted in the domain of Life & Health Sciences.
Two Awards will be granted in the domain of Science & Technology.Amount: 5.000 € each (for personnal use).

These Awards are also open for researchers with a PhD thesis in the domains of sustainability, circular economy, renewable energy and climate change.
Eligibility criteria
- Candidates must have obtained their PhD thesis from a Belgian University or the Royal Military Academy of Belgium between November 1, 2021 and October 31, 2022.
Call schedule

Opening of the call : December 12, 2022.

Deadline of the call : February 1, 2023.

Jury meeting : April 2023.

Award ceremony : Spring 2023.
