The two teams selected as part of the FNRS-FAPESP call for mobility projects (Brazil) are known! Here they are:
- Benoît HACKENS (FNRS Postdoctoral Researcher, UCLouvain) and Raul de OLIVEIRA FREITAS (Brazilian Synchrotron Light Laboratory) for their project "SynchrotrOn Nanoscale imAging and spectroscopy of Twisted grAphene"
- Mathieu JAVAUX (Professor, UCLouvain) and Quirijn de JONG van LIER (Universidade de São Paulo) for their project "Improving Transpiration and Root water uptake predictions under drought: a comparison of modeling and experimental efforts"
The call for projects was launched at the end of July 2022 as part of the “PINT-BILAT-M” instrument. Funding is granted for bilateral research mobility projects, collaborations between a researcher from the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles and a researcher from a FNRS partner agency, in this case FAPESP (Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paolo).
Selected projects receive full funding. Belgian teams funded by the FNRS will receive a maximum amount of €15,000 over a period of two years for travel, scientific workshops/conferences and, possibly, operating costs. The Brazilian teams are funded by FAPESP.
