He has been selected to develop the project GEMPROMISE – Generative Machine Learning for Combined Process Control and Materials Design, together with two other Principal Investigators from the École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) and the CNRS.
Among the awardees, three are from the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles, including Gian-Marco Rignanese. In total, 66 research teams, bringing together 239 scientists, will receive €684 million in ERC Synergy Grants to tackle some of the most challenging scientific questions across a wide range of fields.
