Thanks to a generous donor, the Fund for Scientific Research-FNRS and the Research Foundation - Flanders (FWO) will award, in 2026, the Oswald Vander Veken Prize for an original contribution in the field of tumors of the locomotor apparatus.
Main Features

The Prize rewards a senior researcher for an original contribution to the understanding of tumors of the locomotor apparatus, their causes, their prevention, their diagnosis and/or their treatment.
- Amount: € 25.000 for personal use.

The Prize can reward a scientific research performed by a team of maximum 3 researchers, in which case the amount shall be shared equally among the team members.
Eligible Applicants

Applicants must be affiliated to a University of the European Economic Area or Switzerland at the deadline of the call.

Applicants cannot have received a previous Prize for their submitted research, except honorary Prize.
