The FNRS forges international links as a founding member of the European network Weave " Research Funding Without Borders ".

The Board of Directors of the FNRS decided, at its meeting of October 6, 2020, to become one of the founding members of the European network Weave "Research Funding Without Borders". This network brings together several European research funding agencies that have decided to mutually open up their project funding instruments. In practice, this means that FWB researchers will be able to apply, between January and April 2021, to the CORE calls of the Luxembourg National Research Fund (FNR) and Encouragement of Projects of the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF). Similarly, it will be possible to include Swiss and Luxembourg participants in the FNRS PDR call.
