Project duration and maximum budget

The maximum amount of requested funding per project is 300.000 EUR for a total period of 3 years.

Eligibility rules

All eligibility rules and criteria can be found in the PINT-MULTI regulations EN.This call is co-funded by the European Commission (see article III.6).

Forms to be submitted

Applicants requesting funding from the F.R.S.-FNRS must submit an administrative application via e-space within 5 working days of the general deadline for the QuantERA call in order to be declared eligible. Please select the “PINT-MULTI” funding instrument when creating the administrative application. 

Admitted costs

Please note that personnel costs (Article III.6) have an annual average cap of 80,000 euros for this call. For the administrative application on e-space, costs such as “Consumables”, “Travel”, and “Other” should all be included in the “operating expenses” category in the form.

For “overhead” costs:

  • Operating expenses: up to 1% within the granted budget. This percentage should be included in the requested operating budget.
  • Personnel: up to 2% outside of the granted budget. This percentage will be paid upon reimbursement of expenses to institutions by the F.R.S.-FNRS.

Opening of the call for bilateral mobility projects 2025 between FNRS and CASS (China)

As part of bilateral agreements, a call for projects is currently open with China (The Chinese Academy of Social Sciences - CASS).

Applications must be submitted by October 28th,  2025.

Launch of the European One Health Antimicrobial Resistance Partnership

The FNRS announces its participation in the European One Health Antimicrobial Resistance Partnership (EUP OHAMR), successor to JPIAMR (Joint Programming Initiative on Antimicrobial Resistance), and joins 53 organisations across 30 countries to support research and innovation in the field of antimicrobial resistance with a “One-Health” approach. This European partnership aims to strengthen surveillance, diagnosis, treatment and prevention strategies in the fields of human, animal and environmental health.

The FNRS participates as a funding agency in EUP OHAMR's annual calls for transnational projects through its PINT-MULTI instrument, in accordance with the usual procedures.

A first call for projects will be launched in November 2025, focusing on the theme "Provide innovative and cost-effective treatment options". More information will be provided at a later date. You can already consult the page relating to this call on the EUP OHAMR website.
