The Joint Transnational Call (JTC) is launched in the framework of the European partnership Water4All and supports research and innovation projects to improve water security in the long term.
In line with the strategic objectives of Water4All, the results should contribute to the implementation of evidence-based, global, EU and national water management policies and strategies, within the frameworks of the Green Deal, Water Framework Directive, Just Transition and the Water Action Agenda for UN Sustainable Development Goals.
All the information about the call and how to submit proposals can be found here.

Results of the bilateral call for projects 2024 between the F.R.S-FNRS and the “NSTC” (Taiwan).
The Fonds de la Recherche Scientifique - FNRS (F.R.S.-FNRS), in partnership with “The National Science and Technology Council - NSTC” (Taiwan), is pleased to announce the results of the call launched in January 2024 under the instrument known as “PINT-BILAT-M” (bilateral research mobility projects).
The purpose of this Call for proposals is to support transnational research and/or innovation projects addressing urban challenges to help cities in their transition towards a more sustainable economy and functioning. The challenges are grouped into three themes called “Transition Pathways”: Circular Urban Economies, 15-minute City and Positive Energy Districts.
Europe and Southeast Asia are increasingly suffering from the impact of climate change and related extreme weather events, rising sea levels and changing precipitation patterns. Adapting to these conditions and building local resilience are priorities in both regions.
Therefore, the European Commission (EC) and the JFS funding bodies have decided to dedicate the JFS 2024 call for proposals to the general area of CLIMATE CHANGE ADAPTATION AND LOCAL RESILIENCE, and to support under the umbrella of this area research proposals for the following three topics towards sustainable green and blue economies.
Theme 1: Treatment and reuse of wastewater (industrial and municipal)
Theme 2: Underwater and surface biomass farms powered by renewable energy
Theme 3: Assessment and remediation of contaminated inorganic and organic soils
