Opening of the call Water4All Partnership 2024 “Water for Circular Economy” (2)

The Joint Transnational Call (JTC) is launched in the framework of the European partnership Water4All and supports research and innovation projects to improve water security in the long term.

In line with the strategic objectives of Water4All, the results should contribute to the implementation of evidence-based, global, EU and national water management policies and strategies, within the frameworks of the Green Deal, Water Framework Directive, Just Transition and the Water Action Agenda for UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Opening of the Call Biodiversa+ “Biodiversity and Transformative Change”

The BiodivTransform call aims to support interdisciplinary, transdisciplinary and/or cross-sectoral research and innovation projects that:
 
  • help to understand the trade-offs and links between the global crises of biodiversity loss, climate change and pollution ;
  • help identify, analyse and understand the transformative processes that can safeguard biodiversity by mitigating threats to it and halt - or even reverse - its decline, as well as the benefits it can bring to people.

This call adopts a bottom-up approach and deliberately does not define research themes.

Results of the 2024 bilateral call for mobility projects with the “NSTC” (Taiwan) 2024

Results of the bilateral call for projects 2024 between the F.R.S-FNRS and the “NSTC” (Taiwan).

The Fonds de la Recherche Scientifique - FNRS (F.R.S.-FNRS), in partnership with “The National Science and Technology Council - NSTC” (Taiwan), is pleased to announce the results of the call launched in January 2024 under the instrument known as “PINT-BILAT-M” (bilateral research mobility projects).


Driving Urban Transitions (DUT) Call 2024 “– “A funding opportunity for sustainable urban transitions”

The purpose of this Call for proposals is to support transnational research and/or innovation projects addressing urban challenges to help cities in their transition towards a more sustainable economy and functioning. The challenges are grouped into three themes called “Transition Pathways”: Circular Urban Economies15-minute City and Positive Energy Districts.

  • Pre-proposal deadline: November 14, 2024, 13:00 CET
  • Full Proposal deadline: April 24, 2025, 13:00 CET

Opening of the Southeast Asia - Europe Joint Funding Scheme 2024 call ‘Climate change adaptation and local resilience’

Europe and Southeast Asia are increasingly suffering from the impact of climate change and related extreme weather events, rising sea levels and changing precipitation patterns. Adapting to these conditions and building local resilience are priorities in both regions.

Therefore, the European Commission (EC) and the JFS funding bodies have decided to dedicate the JFS 2024 call for proposals to the general area of CLIMATE CHANGE ADAPTATION AND LOCAL RESILIENCE, and to support under the umbrella of this area research proposals for the following three topics towards sustainable green and blue economies.

Theme 1: Treatment and reuse of wastewater (industrial and municipal)
Theme 2: Underwater and surface biomass farms powered by renewable energy
Theme 3: Assessment and remediation of contaminated inorganic and organic soils
