Preannouncement : Water4All 2024 Joint Transnational Call on “Water for Circular Economy”

36 Funding Agencies from all over Europe and abroad, amongst which the FNRS,  are pleased to pre-announce a Joint Transnational Call for research and innovation projects on “Water for Circular Economy”. The Joint Transnational Call (JTC) will be launched in the framework of the European partnership Water4All and will support research and innovation projects to improve water security in the long term.

Research and innovation proposals submitted under the Water4All 2024 Joint Transnational Call are required to address at least one of the following topics:

  • Topic 1. Enhancement of water circularity in industries.
  • Topic 2. Urban water circularity.
  • Topic 3. Resource recovery and valorization.
  • Topic 4. Economic, environmental and social implications of water reuse and recovered products.

Opening of the 2024 bilateral mobility call between the FNRS and PAS (Poland)

Within the framework of bilateral agreements, a call for projects is currently open with Poland ("The Polish Academy of Sciences - PAS").

Call for applications to "The Fifth Hideyo Noguchi Africa Prize"

"The Hideyo Noguchi Africa Prize" is awarded to those who have made outstanding achievements in the fields of medical research or activities to combat infectious diseases and promote public health in Africa, in line with the aspirations of Dr Hideyo Noguchi, who lost his life while researching yellow fever in Africa, thereby improving the health and well-being of people living in Africa and, by extension, of humanity as a whole.

Call for applications - Support knowledge exchange for European humanities research

The role of the Knowledge Exchange Facilitator (KEF) is to strengthen the overall cohesion of the “Crisis - Perspectives from the Humanities” joint research program of the Humanities in the European Research Area (HERA) network, and to coordinate knowledge exchange efforts and activities at program level, including the organization of program launch and closing conferences. 

To be eligible, you must :

  • hold a PhD or equivalent qualification or experience;
  • have knowledge of the European knowledge exchange landscape;
  • be based in a research organization anywhere in the world.

The maximum contribution for this call is £500,000. Projects must start by January 6, 2025, and run for 3.5 years. 

This call is managed by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC, UK), on behalf of the HERA network.

The closing date is July 9, 2024.

Call for projects: Scientific cooperation program with the Romanian Academy

As part of the scientific cooperation program between WBI, FNRS and the Romanian Academy, a new call for projects has been launched.

This cooperation allows you to develop a partnership focused on fundamental research and running from January 1, 2025 to December 1, 2026, provided that your partner is a member of the Romanian Academy or that its institution is part of the Romanian Academy.

This call for applications covers short-term travel and subsistence expenses, as part of a joint research project.
