The F.R.S.-FNRS and the Fonds de recherche du Québec (FRQ) are launching their third bilateral call for research projects. This joint research program aims to create a leverage effect for scientific excellence and to bring researchers from the Wallonia-Brussels Federation and Quebec to develop innovative joint research projects. The projects must not only bring together researchers from different research environments, disciplines and expertise to work together using a range of cutting-edge approaches and technologies, but must also be structured in such a way as to provide original added value that the researchers, funded by each of the funding agencies, could not achieve alone.
This is a two-stage call with a closing date for pre-proposals on September 28, 2021 (4:00 p.m., Montreal time) with the Fonds de la Santé (FRQS), the fund managing the call. The principal investigator from Quebec must submit his or her proposal in the FRQ's e-Portfolio.
Teams must be composed of a minimum of 3 people, 1 principal investigator from Quebec, 1 co-investigator from Quebec and 1 principal promoter from the Wallonia-Brussels Federation.
The F.R.S.-FNRS and the FRQ plan to fund a maximum of 6 joint research projects submitted to this call (grant amount: F.R.S.-FNRS: up to a maximum of 75 000 € / year over 3 years; FRQ: up to a maximum of 100 000 $ CAD / year over 3 years).
All the information and practical details concerning this call can be found on the F.R.S.-FNRS website on the page dedicated to the F.R.S.-FNRS - FRQ (Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles - Québec) collaborative research.
